Gala GLP-1 was co-founded in January 2024 by Javi d’Erausquin and Fede Buldin with the goal of using AI to deliver personalized metabolic-health care via telehealth. After a private beta, the platform officially launched in November 2024, offering an AI platform to manage patient's GLP-1 Treatment.

In December 2024, Gala closed a seed round, which funded expansion of its clinical team and fueled growth. By March 2025 Gala's growth, pushed the user base past 30,000 members.

Gala also rolled out a comprehensive virtual weight-management program, providing GLP-1 treatments to its members.

By May 2025, the company had surpassed 40,000 active members. Gala continues to iterate on its AI algorithms for medication adherence monitoring.
