Sammy Weidenthal My name is Sammy (Samuel is my legal name) Weidenthal and I am a photographer and journalist based in Lewiston, Maine and Cleveland, Ohio USA. I have been featured in official content for Bates College countless times over the past 4 years as well as having photography featured for the musical group “Big Thief” and sports content in the Portland ME press herald news paper. Photography • Design • Creative Direction • Visual Storytelling. Seen for: Grammy-nominated artists such as Big Thief, theatrical companies including The Public Theater and Big Boy Dance Company, Bates College, and other visionary artists shaping the stories they tell. I explore a lot from photographing live performance and designing sound to tinkering with quirky Swedish cars, sailing regattas, or wiring a mainframe computer in my basement — all in time to watch the leaves turn and do it all again before class. Working between Maine and Cleveland, Ohio, I blend digital and analog formats to create intentional, atmospheric work.
